Sikkim is the first state in India allowing full fledged on shore gambling. Mayfair Gangtok Spa Resort and Casino, has the largest such casino of more than 5000 sq ft and will ultimately be upgraded to a 40,000 sq ft area subsequently. The soft launch of the casino is scheduled in February and the complete launch will be in late March or early April. This casino also has a separate gambling area for high rollers in addition to a live entertainment area and buffets. There will also be classes for those resident guests who wish to learn the art of gambling.
The Casino has 17 tables including card tables, roulette, black jack, baccarat, kitty, mini flush, poker, wheel of fortune and slot machines.
