A few guidelines towards a rewarding Spa Vacation
Spa protocol is based on simple etiquette. To ensure that you, and those around you, enjoy and reap the full benefits of the spa experience, please keep in mind the following tips:
General Information
- Start off your experience by attending the daily Spa Orientation Session
- Schedule a Spa Consultation with the Spa Reception to create a customized program during your stay
- Children under the age of 14 are not permitted in the Spa
- The Spa reserves the right to refuse certain treatments to guests with medical contraindications
- Smoking is not permitted in and around the Spa Facilities
Mobile Phones
- In order to maintain the tranquil and peaceful environment for all to enjoy, all spa request you to switch off or set to silent any mobile phones prior to entering the Spa facilities including the poolside and attending spa activities.
- No use of mobile phones within the Spa and surrounding facilities such as: the poolside and during spa activities
Personal Jewelry and Valuables
- Guests are requested not to wear jewelry or bring valuable property to the Spa hydrotherapy and treatment facilities. Loss or damage to property or valuables is the sole responsibility of the guest
- Jewelry and valuables should be left in the personal safe provided in your room
- Any person who loses, damages or destroys property of the Spa shall be responsible and liable for the repair or replacement of such property
Therapies and Treatments
- Traditional values are respected here at Indian Spa as such, female therapists will perform full body treatments for women and male therapists will perform full body treatments for men
- Please avoid sunbathing immediately prior or after a treatment
- It is advisable for you to rest and relax for at least 15 minutes following any spa treatment
- Please note that aromatherapy is most effective if the oils are left on the body for at least 12 hours after treatment
Special Attention for Men
- Men are advised to shave before a facial treatment
- Men are requested to wear swimming trunks for ALL body treatments
Special Attention for Women
- Women are requested to remove their makeup prior to any spa treatments
- Women are requested to avoid shaving prior to a body exfoliation treatment
- Please avoid booking any Hydrotherapy treatment during menstruation
Contact Lenses
- Please remove contact lenses prior to a facial treatment
Gratuities
- Gratuity is not included in the price of Spa services
Arrive Early
- All guests are requested to arrive 15 minutes prior to their appointment to allow time to change
- A late arrival would mean that your Spa treatment would need to be completed in less time than is needed, so as to not disturb the schedule of following appointments
Food
- Food and beverages may not be brought into the Spa facilities from the outside, we invite you to enjoy our poolside and restaurant refreshments, snacks and meals
- It is not recommended to have a heavy meal just before a Spa treatment or exercise programme. Allow for a minimum gap of 45 minutes to an hour or hour and a half after your meal before commencing any spa treatment or wellness activities
Alcoholic Beverages
- It is recommended that you refrain from alcoholic beverages before taking a Spa treatment or using the self-directed Hydrotherapy facilities
- Alcohol inhibits the absorption of essential oils into the body during a massage or any other therapy
Waxing Services
- To achieve the best results, the skin should be kept dry and cool after waxing (hair removal)
- Please avoid using perfumes, soaps and anti-perspirants before and after waxing (hair removal)
- Immediately before and after waxing (hair removal), please avoid sunbathing or heat treatments such as Steam, Jacuzzi or Sauna
Hydrotherapy
- Swimwear must be worn whilst using the Jacuzzi, Sauna/Steam Room and Cool Plunge Pool
- Guests wishing to enjoy the self-directed Hydrotherapy facilities are requested to arrive at least 30-45 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time
- Contra-indications to hydrotherapy are high blood pressure, any heart condition and pregnancy
- Please wear slippers during the use of the Hydrotherapy facilities to prevent any accidents
- It is very important to re-hydrate the body by drinking plenty of water throughout your entire stay especially during the use of the Hydrotherapy facilities and following spa treatments
Fitness Center
- We suggest to attend a daily Fitness Orientation Session to become familiar with the proper use of the equipment provided
- For your safety, proper attire and sports shoes must be worn in the Fitness Center
